Choondacherry, Amala F.C. Convent  - 1999

Choondacherry is a small village almost 4 km away from Bharananganam the land of St. Alphonsa. When Choondacherry was raised into a parish, 75 cents of land was bought to build a convent. Later, PanjikunnelKunjeli donated her 1 acre of land to the sisters for a convent in 1995 in return for taking care of her. The new convent was blessed on 8^th January 1999 by Mar Joseph Pallikaparambil bishop of Palai. There is facility to accommodate 50 students in the boarding annex to the ... convent.

Sisters engage in Education, Catechesis, Family Visitation, helping the poor and the needy for medical treatment and building houses and above all in Prayer.
