Christ Raj Convent Peringulam - 1946
In order to get sisters as teachers in the school, the Manager and Vicar Rev. Fr. Joseph Kollamparambil and the parishioners got permission from Bishop Mar James Kalacherry to start a convent in Peringulam. Accordingly, five sisters from Maniyamkunnu convent came here and started teaching and other apostolic services in the parish living in a small house on 4th October 1946. Then on 29th October the feast of Christ Raj in 1950, the convent started functioning. Rev. Bernerdittamma was the first Superior. The sisters got their own chapel on 17th November 1957.
