Thidanadu F.C. Convent Clara Nagar 

    For the holistic development of the Province, importance was given to one of the facets of our FCC charism: caring of the poor. To accomplish it, the old age home that functioned along with the St. Joseph’s FC Convent Thidanad was shifted to the building of Ayalooparambil Devasia in the Erattupetta Kanjirappally route. Two three rooms were attached to this building for the convenience of the sisters and it was blessed on 14^th December 1919 by Rev. Fr. Joseph Kizhakkekkara, vicar of Thidanad church. The house ... was named Clara Nagar to commemorate St. Clare the patron saint of FCC. More facilities were added to Mercy Home (old age home) and Kolbe Dispensary (hospice) also was built for the residents and it was blessed on 13^th August 1992 by Mar Joseph Pallikaparambil bishop of Palai. Kolbe dispensary started functioning on 17^th August 1992. A new chapel with the facility for Perpetual Adoration was built and blessed on 11^th August 1998 the feast day of St. Clare by the bishop of Palai. The residents of Mercy Home and the neighbours go back contented after participating in the perpetual adoration.

With the added number of sisters, a new convent was built and blessed by Msgr. Philip Njaralakatt on 11^th April 2002. From 1995 onwards both houses used to enjoy the services of a resident chaplain.

Moreover, Clara Nagar was expanded with more rooms and facilities to accommodate the aged and sick sisters of the province. The new building was blessed by Mar Joseph Kallarangatt bishop of Palai on 12^th August 2012. Now ClaraNagar campus has Mercy Home, Kolbe Hospice and Clara Nagar Convent inside it.
