Assisi Sneha Bhavan  1971 – Bharananganam 

The Franciscan Council of Pala diocese decided to start a Centenary memorial of the Franciscan Third Order in Kerala at Bharananganam for the poor women who could not live in their own homes. Vettukallel Kochettan of Bharananganam parish donated 86 cents of his land for this purpose. Accordingly, under the guidance of the OFM Capuchins, Assisi Sneha Bhavan originated.  The blessing of the Bhavan was on 4th October 1971. The training, leadership and safekeeping of the Bhavan were entrusted with the Clarist sisters. 

In 1977 the complete responsibility of Assisi Sneha Bhavan was handed ... over by the Franciscan Third Order to the Franciscan Clarist Congregation.
