There were no education facilities for the girls of the village and its surroundings. Fr. Francis Thudipara (Vadakkel) thought of beginning a school for the same. He consulted with various educated people and many others about the matter. Due to his relentless effort, he was able to begin a school for this purpose on 25 December 1929. Rev. Fr. Kuruvila Plathottam laid the foundation stone. The inaugural ceremony was performed by His Excellency Mar. James Kalassery. This school was raised as High School in 1949. The management was handed over to Clarist Convent, Bharananganam on 2nd February 1974. The number of staff, working in this institution is 35 in number. Total number of students is 685. The headmistress is Rev. Sr. Celine Luckose. At present the manager is the Provincial Superior of FCC Alphonsa Jyothi Province, Bharananganam.
